Chosen Family

I have been searching for my people.

Looking in corners and dark alleys.

I have found many people

And shared many experiences.

But they are not my people.

They do not feel like home.

I yearn for different experiences.

I crave the love of my family.

Whoever they may be.

May our paths diverge soon.

I’m not sure how much longer

I can walk this path alone.
